Some people complete a pre-mediation meeting and decide mediation is not the right path. With stage pricing, they have spent a few hundred dollars finding that out, not thousands. Each stage is priced on its own, invoiced on its own, and finished before the next begins.
All prices are per person, plus applicable tax. Whichever path you choose, your Separation Agreement is drafted by Rebecca Alleyne, senior family lawyer. In full mediation with Rebecca, agreement drafting is a separate stage with its own price. In Divii Mediated, drafting is included.

Both paths run on the same process and the same law. Both begin with an individual pre-mediation meeting with Rebecca, and both end with a Separation Agreement she drafts. What changes is where the work gets done and how much professional support you receive.
In Divii Mediated, the two of you build the file. Divii walks you through parenting schedules, support calculations and property division, and most couples settle much of it on their own. Before mediation, Rebecca reviews the file with you to confirm it is complete and to identify where you still disagree. The two-hour session goes straight to those points of disagreement, and your clauses are updated to reflect what you decide.
In full mediation, Rebecca is in the room for the whole process: gathering the information, running the calculations with you, and working through every decision in order. It suits complex finances, business interests, pensions, and situations where the conversation needs someone holding it steady from the start.
If you can work together and your finances are reasonably straightforward, Divii Mediated is often better value. If you would value professional facilitation and legal guidance throughout, a full mediation gives you that support at every step, and on complex files it is usually the faster route. Prices are per person plus applicable tax, paid stage by stage, never all at once. For comparison, two lawyers negotiating the same separation commonly costs $5,000 to $20,000+ per person.
A note on tax: mediation services and document drafting are taxed differently in BC, which is why the mediation and drafting stages are invoiced separately.

A half-day session (up to four hours) for parenting or financial matters, or a full day (up to seven hours) for both, with legal information provided throughout so decisions are grounded in BC family law. Full days can be split into multiple sessions.

Should you need more time, additional sessions can be arranged. About 80 percent of our clients do not need additional hours.
Your Separation Agreement is drafted in common, easy-to-understand language, written neutrally so the wording favours neither of you. You receive it in Microsoft Word format so agreed changes are easy to make, along with every schedule, calculation, and spreadsheet from your mediation. Independent legal advice from your own lawyer is encouraged before signing, and because the decisions are already made, that review is typically brief.
This is for people who already have an agreement. Support is based on income, and incomes change, so many families come back once a year to put the numbers right. You exchange updated financial information, we rerun the calculations, and your support agreement is updated to match. Up to three hours, $1,000 per person plus tax.
Doing this yearly is far cheaper than letting an arrangement drift out of date, which is how arrears build up and how disagreements start.
