Financial Mediation distributes property and calculates support

Financial Mediation

Financial mediation helps couples reach fair, practical agreements about spousal support and the division of property, assets, and debts after separation.

Financial mediation gives you a clear, steady way to make important decisions about spousal support and the division of property, assets, and debts. These are big topics, and they can feel overwhelming when you are trying to sort through them on your own. My job is to help you understand the information that matters, see your choices clearly, and move forward with a plan that feels fair and workable for both of you.

We begin by talking about what is important to each of you. Your needs, goals, and concerns help us set the direction for the conversation. There is no single right way to structure a financial agreement. In fact, there are countless ways to approach support and property division, and the best path forward depends on your specific circumstances. Once I understand what each of you values most, we review your financial information in a thorough and organized way. I run the calculations you need and explain how the law applies so you can see the full picture before you make any decisions.

With that foundation, we explore a range of options that balance practicality and fairness. My aim is to create a structured, respectful space where you can talk openly, ask questions, and consider solutions that support long term stability. Most financial mediations take about four hours and are offered on a flat fee basis, which keeps the process predictable.

Take a look at our Financial Mediation Agenda for more information.  Most financial mediations take about four hours and are billed on a flat-fee basis (see Pricing for details).  You can also log in to the website to access more resources on child support, spousal support, and property division. These tools can help you feel more prepared as we work toward a financial agreement that meets both of your needs.
