Parenting & Financial Mediation

Family Mediation helps you work through both parenting and financial matters in a supportive, structured way to create clear, child-focused plans and fair outcomes that support stability for your whole family.

When couples come to me for family mediation in Victoria BC or elsewhere in BC, we work together to build agreements that feel practical, respectful, and grounded in BC family law.

In a family mediation session, we start by resolving parenting issues. I help you create clear, child-centered plans for how you will share time, responsibilities, and decision making after separation. We walk through parenting schedules, communication, holidays, and financial responsibilities, and we stay focused on what supports your children’s well-being. My role is to guide you through the law in BC and help you shape a parenting plan that works for both of you.

We also work through your financial matters in a standard family mediation. I help you make informed decisions about spousal support and the division of property, assets, and debts. We take time to understand what matters most to each of you, review your financial information, run calculations, and talk through how the law applies. With that foundation, we explore balanced options that support fairness and financial stability moving forward.

Each family mediation follows a clear Mediation Agenda that keeps discussions focused and productive. Sessions that address both parenting and financial topics usually take about seven hours and are billed on a flat fee basis. You can complete everything in one full session or divide the work into two or more shorter sessions.
