Mediation Agenda:
Parenting Responsibities, Scheduling & Support
When you start mediation, it helps to know what the process looks like and how it will support you. I work with parents every day who are trying to make thoughtful decisions about their children while managing the emotions that come with separation. A clear agenda gives you direction, reduces stress, and helps you feel confident that we will cover everything that matters for your family.

Mediation allows you to stay in control of your parenting plan and your child support arrangements. Instead of relying on a court process that can feel adversarial and confusing, you and your co-parent work with me to talk through your concerns, understand your options, and design a plan that supports your children in both homes. I create a calm, structured space where each of you feels heard, and I explain the legal framework so you can make informed decisions together.

A strong agenda is at the heart of this work. It guides us through the conversations we need to have about parenting schedules, communication, decision making, and financial support for your children. You will know the questions I will ask and how these discussions help build a clear, workable plan for your family’s future.

Before we walk through the agenda, it is helpful to understand that the structure is designed to protect your children’s best interests, support respectful communication, and lead you toward a parenting plan and child support agreement that meets legal requirements and reflects your goals as co-parents. My role is to guide the conversation and make sure you leave mediation with clarity and confidence.
